                            The National Democratic Congress is set to arrest power from the incumbent government, monitoring its preparations towards coming 2020 elections. The general secretary of the opposition party Mr.Johnson Asiedu Nketia announced in a press conference last Wednesday (19/09/18), that massive works were being laid on grounds to catapult the party regain power successfully coming 2020 presidential elections.

In view of this, a set of committee members have been inducted to manage and organize a successful delegates conference, where eligible and selfless delegates have been sworn in to steer the affairs of the party into victory 2020. The conference, which is scheduled for the 3rd November 2018 at the Trade Fair Centre, is to see all party members and supporters come from all the ten regions to have a peaceful exercise. 

The committees include a 17-member national planning team chaired by the general secretary himself, In addition to 12 other committees including a sub-committee. This sums up to13 committees in all. 
The other 11 committees are the standing order committee made up of 19 members, the grounds committee of 15 members, the accreditation and protocol committee of 16 members, the congress committee of 20 members and the feeding committee of seven members.

The others are the congress material and logistics committee with a membership of seven, the vetting committee, the electoral committee and the publicity committee, all with seven members each.

The rest are the transport committee made up of nine members, the legal committee with 15 members and the procurement subcommittee made up of five members.

Mr Johnson Nketia stressed that the various committee members were chosen and appointed based on the individual sterling qualities and capabilities. He added that the party would, prior to the main congress; hold its National Youth and Women’s Congress on October 20, 2018 at the 

Pentecost Convention Centre at Kasoa in the Central Region.
General Mosquito as he is popularly called, advised all members of the various committees to commit themselves fully to the duties they had been given in order to ensure that the main congress went on smoothly.
